The platform Future Internet Austria will bring together research and industry within Austria and provide support in building this community in terms of expertise, knowledge transfer, collaboration and outreach:

• Future Internet community building open to any interested party in Austria
• Future Internet networking at conference events and research-industry workshops
• Austrian Future Internet presence at European and international level

The scientific and technological aims of the Future Internet Austria community are to

• Ensure that Future Internet advances at the European and international level are identified (especially with respect to high national applicability) and communicated effectively at the national level in order to facilitate and enable uptake within Austria;
• Enable increased Future Internet research, development, innovation and technology uptake within Austria through networking, knowledge sharing and technology transfer between Austrian research institutes, entrepreneurs/start-ups and industry;
• Encourage greater awareness of Austrian excellence and potential with respect to Future Internet activities at the European and international level, particularly towards key stakeholders in the global Future Internet.

Austrian-based organizations interested in collaborating within this initiative are invited to become a contributing partner of Future Internet Austria.
